September Cycle Events: my top rides

It's amazing how many cycle rides are happening in September across London and the South East! I've done my research, and below are my favourites. I've included women's specific rides but also rides for everyone including kids. Comment and let me know which ones you're going to participate in OR let me know if you want to add any to the list. 14 September – Tunbridge Wells Sportive 2014 
-    Open to all.
-    Starts at Dunorlan Park, Halls Hole Road, Tunbridge Wells, Kent, TN2 4RE.
-    Choice of 25 or 55 mile routes.

14 September – Tram and Lake Loop 
-    Open to all. 
-    3 mile ride suitable for mountain, hybrid and road bikes.
-    Starts at Croydon Sports Arena Car Park, off Albert Road South Norward Country Park, South Norwood SE25 4QL.

17 September – Wednesday Wander Up the Wandle 
-    Women and children.
-    Furzedown Recreation Ground.
-    8 mile ride.

21 September – Piccadilly Circus by Bike and Trike 
-    Open to all.
-    Meet on the corner of the Inner Circle and Chester Road Regents Park NW1 4NY. 
-    5 mile ride for fairly comfortable riders.

21 September – Burgess Park Café 
-    Women and children.
-    Burgess Park Café, meet at 10am.
-    7 mile ride. Bring your own bike or rent a Boris Bike. We will explore Burgess Park then venture into Camberwell, Peckham, Waterloo and even over the river into the City.

21 September – The Cloisters 100
-    Cycle Sportive open to all.
-    Starts at Stansted Village Hall. Malthouse Road, Stansted, Sevenoaks, Kent, TN15 7PH.
-    A wonderful 100k / 62m sportive through the quiet leafy lanes and charming villages of the North Downs and High Weald of West Kent.

21 September – Twice Across the Thames and Back 
-    Open to all (Children 8-15 with adult).
-    Windsor Leisure Centre.
-    14 mile ride. If you’re fairly confident on your bike and ready to broaden your cycling horizons, our Steady rides are ideal. At a comfortable pace, and possibly with some modest hills along the way, rides take place on mainly quiet roads with plenty of sights along the way.

25 September – Cyclopark Womens Twilight Series Round 2
-    Women only.
-    Cyclopark. The Tollgate, Wrotham Road, Gravesend, Kent, DA11 7NP at 6:30pm.
-    This series of twilight competitive races provides opportunities for those wishing to try racing. Come & see what racing is all about on a friendly closed road circuit as the sun sets over a stunning Kent countryside.

27 September – Surrey Legs of Steel - Dave Aitchison Challenge Ride 2014
-    Open to all.
-    Meet at Surrey Hills, Box Hill National Trust Park. Boxhill Road, Tadworth, Surrey, KT20 7LB.
-    Surrey Legs of Steel 2014 is a challenging sportive in the Surrey Hills. Riders will roll out between 8am - 9am. There will be two routes - 81k & 46k - with plenty of hills to stretch your legs on!

27 September – An Autumn Breeze London to Brighton Ride 
-    Women only.
-    Meet by Kennington Park on Kennington Park Road London SE11 4BE.
-    55 miles. Average Speed of 13-15 mph.

27 September – London Parks Royal Flush
-    Open to all (children 8-15 with adult).
-    The Telegraph Inn Telegraph Road SW15 3TU.
-    19 miles. Average Speed of 7-10 mph.

28 September – Kingston Cycling Campaign Morning Ride
-    Open to all.
-    Meet Under Queen Anne Statue in Kingston Market Place  KT1 1JS.
-    13 miles. Join Kingston Cycling Campaign for a friendly local, easy-paced Morning cycle ride. Pub lunch and return to Kingston. All cyclists welcome.
